Taco Bell IT Field Technician in Morrisville, North Carolina

IT field technician provides basic hardware and software support for all supported Taco Bell/KFC electronic devices and associated peripherals.

IT Field Technician Duties & Responsibilities

(Must be located in Florida or North Carolina)

  • The setup, configuration, repair, moves/add/changes, and integration of new and existing computing hardware, software, networking, telecommunications, and other computer-related technologies and peripherals.

  • Basic network support ensuring full connectivity of desktop and other networked peripherals, troubleshooting, and resolving user and site networking issues.

  • Supporting the Information Technology Department with installing, administering, and maintaining the infrastructure of clients, servers, and networking.

  • Installation, setup, and maintenance of workstations to include workstation hardware components, base operating systems, networking, software environments.

  • Support & assist in evaluating information system (IS) threats and vulnerabilities to determine whether additional safeguards are needed for a wide range of IS security related areas including architectures, firewalls, electronic data traffic, and network access.

  • Performing preventative maintenance and setup for a variety of computer related equipment and locations

  • Providing responsive customer-centered quality support and service ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction

  • Addressing and/or resolving IT incidents/service requests promptly and completely

  • Work independently in the field.

IT Field Technician Qualifications

  • Be able to lift 70 lbs.

  • Work on your feet for long hours, not to exceed a 10-hour shift.

  • Work a 50-hour work week. (OT over 40 hours)

  • Willing to travel 75% depending on location of store.

  • Position requires the ability to perform light physical work such as lifting and carrying, pulling, pushing, reaching, squatting, kneeling and the use of a stepladder.

  • Valid Driver license: clear an annual background check.

  • Assisting with the creation and maintenance of local site IT systems documentation

  • Performing on-call "after-hours" support as required to meet site and mission needs and travel to remote locations with North Carolina & Florida areas with short notice.

  • Support level knowledge of the Windows 7 operating system or higher

  • Basic knowledge with restaurant operations and systems.

  • Proficient in the use of Basic Power and hand tools.

  • Able to reach and be comfortable with heights while using step and/or extension ladders. Heights that may be in excessive of 2 story building.
